Retraction, Correction, and Expression of Concern Policy
The International Journal of Modern Trends and Emerging Research is committed to maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of the scholarly record. When significant errors or concerns are identified in published articles, the journal will take appropriate editorial action in accordance with internationally accepted publication ethics and best practices.
Corrections
A correction may be published when an article contains minor errors that do not affect the overall validity, interpretation, or conclusions of the research. Corrections may include typographical errors, author information, affiliations, acknowledgements, or other factual inaccuracies. The corrected article will remain part of the scholarly record, and the correction notice will be linked to the original publication.
Retractions
A published article may be retracted if there is clear evidence of research or publication misconduct, including but not limited to:
- Plagiarism
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Unethical research practices
- Major errors that invalidate the findings
Retraction decisions are made by the editorial team after a fair and confidential investigation. A retraction notice will clearly explain the reason for the retraction and will remain permanently linked to the original article to preserve the integrity of the scholarly record.
Expression of Concern
An Expression of Concern may be issued when serious questions have been raised regarding the integrity or reliability of a published article, but the investigation has not yet been completed or sufficient evidence is not immediately available. The notice will remain associated with the article until a final editorial decision is reached.
Investigation Process
The International Journal of Modern Trends and Emerging Research investigates all concerns objectively, confidentially, and fairly. Authors may be asked to provide explanations, original data, or supporting documents during the investigation. Editorial decisions are made based on the available evidence and established publication ethics.
Post-Publication Updates
Any correction, retraction, or expression of concern will be published promptly and made freely accessible to readers. These notices will be clearly identified and permanently linked to the affected article to ensure transparency and maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Policy Review
The International Journal of Modern Trends and Emerging Research periodically reviews this policy to ensure continued compliance with internationally recognized standards and best practices in scholarly publishing.
